Gas leak

First Time this year - went to cut the grass, turned on the gas from main (under gas tank -1941 8N) At Carb bottom gas came pouring out???
What do I do??? Help!! Did a screw come out??

I turned the main off and it stopped!
If anyone knows how or what I need, please e-mail me so I can get going on moing!

There is a plug in the bottom of the carburetor which could have been removed to drain the carb. last fall. If the plug is in and is still leaking, I would suspect a stuck float.

Tap Tap Tap On side of carb with plastic screwdriver handle might help un stick the float. Turn the gas on first and see if this helps , if it dont , it didnt cost nothing , good luck . Fast Ed Ohio .
