Got the ORC, dist cap, and ammeter today. Got the ORC and ammeter installed. It was good to see the needle on the meter go - when the switch was on and + when the motor ran. :-)

Yeah--Take 6 months to determine your regulator doesn't work before you replace it. That's when you get a rush the first time you see the ammeter needle go to the + side. Change spark plug wires to copper core and see a blue spark. Realize you have draft control or you haven't experienced a flat tire in 3 months. And I can't afford to rebuild a whole tractor at once so it will have to be 1 or 2 pieces at a time. That way I can enjoy it 1 piece at a time. DON TX

This tractor is just about ready to work. Got new front tires last weekend and aligned it. I plan on putting in the tune up parts, building the rest of the draw bar and calling it good. Then it's on to the implements. ;-)

I am happy with all the parts I have gotten for this thing so far. I will likely have to shorten the drive line on the brush hog due to the ORC. No biggie.

Hi Arne. When I said good stuff, I meant good for you, maybe a local saying, sorry. I don't know what your drive line looks like, assume it has u joints. If so make sure that they stay in time,
same orientation as they are now, you probably knew that anyway.

Bob, oh, gotcha. Thanks. :-) I always mark drive lines on pickups and such, didn't think about the mower. Thanks for the reminder / heads up.

Dell, Hack saw? How about sawsall? (Dewalt 18V cordless, grunt grunt) ;-)

Just like the timing thing, don't forget the glasses.

Arne..... ..yep, PTO drivelines (both of'em) need to be shortend about 4 inches to brushog with N-Tractor. Don't worry, they're made to be shortend. Be prepaired to "saccrafice" a couple of hacksaw blades, they're that tuff..... ...Dell

I hear you - it took seven months of tinkering and troubleshooting before I could call my 2N reliable. Most of thet time was undooing the c r a p the guy before me did.

Seems like old stuff has always been messed with in a bad way. Either that or just let go. I agree it's much better to fix it right. In the long run, it usually costs less. IMO

Hi Ed. Lot more work than doing it right the first time isn't it.
