For those looking to find the horizontal bar, cast aluminum reproduction grille for the early 9N's there is a fella who reproduces an exact as original early 9n cast aluminum grille. Roseville Machine, in Roseville, Ohio is owned by Duane Helman. He is into Fordsons and Ford tractor N-Series, and his machine shop either makes the early 9N grille with the horizontal bar, or subcontracts the castings and then finishes the grilles in his shop (grind, buff and polish).

The price is reasonable (around 200.00). I ordered one from Duane (a second with a minor flaw for 150.00). To see it, click on the tractor photo section on the left sidebar, search for 1940 Ford 9N. Mine is the 1940 Ford 9N by TM.

The only problems with his grille is the center v line is not in the center so the ferguson system emblem won't fit perfect, and the 3 top pins are way too big around but it's close enough.

That is one fine looking tractor. The only way to make it look perfect, is to paint it red and gray. lol. Just kidding. I am home with a sick kid today. The flu is going around here, and a couple of days ago a co-worker took off to stay home with his sick child. And I remember saying to someone that I am glad my youngest is old enough to take care of herself. It's funny how what you say can sometimes come back to haunt you. And in saying that, I really was joking about your 9n. It looks good just the way it is.
