Thanks for all the suggestions on curing my wobble. I checked today after plowing snow and the wheel bearings seem quite loose. Also on one radius arm where the ball is held under the cap there is some play. This gives me a starting point. Thanks again for your replies. Ole.

Ole,
I've found that the wheel bearing will last for approximately 40 years, all 4 were shot on my 8N & 9N, but are ok on my newer tractors. I don't know if anyone besides me ever repacks them, but have found repacking to be a good thing to do whenever I get another tractor. Good luck.

Both of my other Ford tractors have grease fittings on the hubs to grease the wheel bearings. I thought about drilling and taping the hubs on my 8N for fittings but I did not do that. Maybe I should have. I bought a air powered grease gun. One of the handiest tools I bought.

Ole; Every little bit of movement in the steering system starts to add up at higher speeds. When it is a little bit in each part it is hard to fix without fixing everything. Mark H.
