ok where does the battery cables hook up on the starter, directions are to put positive on starter but I am not sure of the terminal.and what hooks up to the small one.

I really cant find out where the battery cable to solinoid goes.There are 2 terminal post and one small one for( I think ignition switch)

Rick, I just bought my 8N two days ago and yesterday I rewired what had already been rewired. I just replaced what was there and as the starter solenoid sets on the starter, the + battery cable goes on the outside post and the inside post cable goes to the starter post. Hope this helps.

I must have the solenoid on backwards.As I stand on the left side and look at the starter the solenoid is on top with "BAT" on right towards rear and the other one on the left to the "L" on the front. With the small one in back.
OH how i wish someone would send me a picture.
