Put a new floor in the N7 Gleaner combine clean grain bulk tank today. Actualy been on it for 2 days now. Second one in 2 years. Third actualy but the other combine acceptrd it's new floor. Was trying to get everything lined up & found a broken weld & broke framework. Have to raise the one corner of this tank up about 1/2 inch to remove some more sheet metal to get at this break. Tried three diff. ways today, 2 with a overhead hoist & once with a porta power. Got hungry so I'll work on it tomorrow. The cab is attatched to the tank & the fuel tank is right there where the work needs done. I spose I'll figure this one out also. Don't need it till fall.
I'm hpoing I don't have to take that new floor back out. It sure looks good in there. What fun would life be with out the challenges. Mark you can take all this snow & wind back.
Sorry about the long OT. Just needed to clear my head so I can make room for more ideas. Play safe. Man I love farmin.

Hi Rusty, Glad to hear you are having fun , doing repairs to your machinery, and being prepared so far in advance in preparation for next fall's harvest. I have to go out this morning on the first day of spring and shovel snow. Plans are for a trip to my other property on saturday to cut a few cords of wood for next winters fuel and I'am a little late in getting started on this wood cutting project. Have fun, I grew up on a farm and can relate to the experiences and challenges that go with it, Have a good one, Murray

Rusty what comes around goes around. Our nice days are ahead for us! 70 degs nice cool breeze blowing while those guys who are enjoying the nice weather now are sweating in humid 80-90 deg weather. We just have to suffer a little longer and it will come. Then of course August & September will come and we will love to see some snow again. Thats the nice thing about the seasons. Mark H.
