While i was browsing ebay this morning i saw this orchard tractor. I did not know that the n tractors were made as orchard tractors. I do not think that you would want the exhaust verticle like that if you used the tractor in the trees Is this rare?

looking at the background in the picture it looks like calif. when i lived there in my earlier years there were a lot this type of fenders used in the citrus orchards on a lot of different makes of tractors.

Must have awfully short trees with low branches for the wheel covers to be that low, and the exhaust that high!! Around here in southern NY, the exhausts are low, and the tops of the wheels are covered, so they "brush" the branches, not "Whack" them and knock the apples off. Bob in NY

My grandfather and uncle raised blue berries. The 2N with orchard guards still resides on the farm now owned by my cousin. I suspect that the tractor pictured may have worked in grape or berry production or young fruit trees.
