Was orgering some parts from my local tractor store FNH. Been dealing with them for 17 years. Bought the tractor there. Mike said he didn't have the part & couldn't get it cause it was a ford part through ford dealer. I said you are a ford store. Not any more, he sells Tisco N parts, after market. Well come to find out that the red store is now my Ford parts store. Gonna be hard to get used to going to IH to get my parts. It is closer so that will ease the pain. Gonna miss that old store. They will probly miss the money I spent there. :)) Play safe.

I guess i'm just trying to understand all this dealership stuff. I can get Ford & NH at W.I. in Odessa, 70 miles away but can't get them at W.I. in airway heights 20 miles away (same company) cause the IH dealer has the dist. in that area. W.I. is the agco dealer around here, we run Gleaner combine, & have been trying to watch the deal with Cat & thier Challenger. I know it's all a global thing now. Thanks for theCNH site. And sorry to waste your time. Just something I was pondering in my corner of the wheatfield.

I don't quite follow your info Rusty. Ford has not been in the tractor business for some 8-10 years now. New Holland was partially owned by Ford but even that ended some 5 years ago. Tisco has been packaging and labeling Ford replacement parts for NH for some time now, probably were buying Tisco parts anyway! Also what is the red store? IH has never had a connection to Ford if they are who you are talking about.

A scant mention of connections with Ford. As of 1997 when NH bought the final shares of NH held by Ford Credit, Ford Motor nor any of its holdings has had no connection with these firms. Case/IH merged with NH well after the Ford exiting of the NH companies. If CNH can't get its act together soon it too will be history!

It pays to deal with people like those mentioned frequently on this board that really know N's and are willing to share their knowledge!

Bottom line is, neither Ford nor CNH can provide the N-owner with anything that can't be bought better or cheaper from other sources.

I'll second that.last week needed a volt reg. for a ford 4000 su The one on tractor was a made in the usa reg. from NH six terminals none of which was marked. it lasted 220 hours.local CNH dealer wanted 32.80 for a new one.I bought one from a tisco indpendent dealer for 21.00. IT has the same mounting holes but it is bigger with terminals marked and is made in India but works perfectly.
