Rumors I've heard today:

Mark Hendershot tires of restoration, starts up factory to build new 3N's (for 2003)!

Claus reveals correct original colors of 8N were green and yellow!

Dell begins writing farm advice column for New York Times!

Zane sells kit to convert Kubota into an 8N!

ED-IL finds 9N serial #5 in neighbor's barn! Refuses to buy it until all that polished aluminum is painted!

What've you heard?

Total agreement was reached today on the type of oil that should be used in the Ns.

The proper shade of red and gray was agreed to by all.

Zane developed a 3 volt conversion kit for the 12 volters that feel guilty about converting. Running with three volts for a while will restore the electron balance in the chasis.

It was discovered that Dell was indeed a mind-reader. Someone finally asked his wife and she spilled the beans on him.

BG knew all along that my mileage WOULD NOT vary.

We all thought that Ed Gooding had a great collection of old tractor manuals.. it turns out he works for the Library of Congress.

Dave # 1 is a closet Genesee Cream Ale drinker he has also been spotted with a Utica Club in hand.

The guys over on the John Deere board admitted today that the N was really a pretty nice little tractor and they would not mind having one.

I heard that:

I was dead, and my family sold my N and truck to Zane.

Scott 8N has recently purchased a 2N painted 8N red and "intends to leave it that way, now get the heck off my porch."

Just heard:

Dell has brush hogged 5 acres without an ORC. He only hit two cows and a pole barn in doing so, however.

Dave#1 has actually found and purchased an El-Camino with ladder racks for 50 bucks, and has given up his Coors to be a Budweiser drinker.

BG has finished his restoration.

IN a burst of unusual generosity, Quality Farm and Family offers to buy back all the Ford tractor parts recently sold in their "going out of business" sale for list price.Spokesman N. Howe said in a press interview, " We really wanted just to clear out all the bird feeders and stuff but the employees got slightly carried away when they saw how much money they could make by selling stuff for even less than we cheapos paid for it.Our intent all along was to have a store catering solely to the amateur tractor restorer because we know where the restoration hobby is going in the next few years and we want to be part of it".

In an unrelated story, the entire hole drilling staff at the WEMAKE ITFIT fender plant in Hong Kong was laid off when it was discovered they hadn't passed the mandatory metric to inch conversion test, forcing thousands of restorers to rework fender brackets on their Fords. THe plant is awaiting a backordered shipment of the correct holes to install in some undrilled fenders they still have on hand before rehiring.

Also in the news, Fence Hole Prefabrication Stock is way up, most likely due to the posibility their process may also work for telephone pole holes, according to a preliminary study. You may recognize FHP from their well recognized SIX-PACK prefab fence hole packages available at many Home Depots.

Repair Gel stock prices reach $1000.00 a share before rumors of patent infringment and questionable accounting prices send the prices tumbling. If your currently hold shares your owe the makers of brylcream (alittle dab'l do ya) $5.oo a share.
