The left brake pedal on my 1952 8N has begun dropping when I apply much pressure to it. It then just sits there uselessly. I can pull it back up into position with my toe, but when I step on it enough to barely affect the brake, it lets go and drops with kind of a sudden "snap" feeling. I know I need to pull the rear tire, brake drum, etc., to see what's going on, but has anyone here experienced this problem? Am I looking at replacing some kind of part no one has ever heard of since late '52? I kind of like to know what I'm getting into before I get into it, so I thought I'd ask first. Thanks, guys.

Rossow..... ..sounds like one of your brake springs done sprong. Brake spring kits are readily available. 3 springs on left (extra retractor) and 2 springs on right. Check your I&T FO-4 manual..... ..Dell
