that's what my mchine shop bill was...I've been reading different archives on expense at various shops.
I feel this is a good price for grinding the valve seats, turning the crank 10 ]10, boiling the block, shaving the head, Facing the flywheel and putting a new ring gear on, removing and replacing sleeves and honing them

I figure I will be getting in for around $1000 or so with me doing the rebuilding part, MayB

.....$410 on parts so far with adj. lifters on the way ,Bearings for the engine, clutch, pressure plate,throwout bearing, and pilot bearing.

What am i forgetting.

Fair price. Once you get the pistons and valves, crank and cam in, set the head on top of the block and spin the engine by hand. Put some putty on top of the valves to see if they will hit the head. Depends on how much the shop shaved it.
