Crank driven hyd pump question

Just bought a loader at an auction, and it came with the small hydraulic pump mounted at the front, with a flexible coupler and the splined shaft on the tractor-engine side of the coupler. I assume somebody makes an assembly that replaces your crank pulley with a splined-center type of pulley? Is it a two-piece affair, so you can get to the pulley bolt, then bolt on the splined part to that? Does anybody have such an assembly used? I think my shaft is a 3/4" diameter, six spline type, but I'll have to verify that. Failing that, where can I get this setup aftermarket? If I just want to get the outer part, and use my original pulley, is it stout enough to drill in the 4-bolt pattern (or whatever it is), to mount the splined piece? I guess I'd have to take off the hand crank spirals. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Paul look in the archives, "dearborn loader" I have seen picturs posted of the set up. you need a splined coupler and a pully that can take 4 bolts to fasten it to. The jubilee had this setup and I think you can get it for yours too.
Good luck. Bob

Paul..... ...if your N's front pully is an OEM sheetmetal assembly, trash-it. Get a replacement billet pully with 4 mounting boltholes already tapped to mount your bridged pump splined stinger adaptor. And yes, you will have to get rid of your toothed starter crankshaft pully bolt to a regular hex bolt..... .....Dell

I'm not where the tractor is right now, but are you saying the hand-starting spiral deal on the crank is actually the bolt head? Is that gonna be a huge problem to get off? Special tools and such? Can it be done with taking all the radiator and stuff off? Thanks to all who responded.

Paul..... ...to take the engine crankshaft pulley bolt out (and install) stuff as much 1/4 soft clothesline rope in a sparkplug hole you can. The crank will turn up against the blockage and you can untorque/torque the 5/8 bolt 150 ft/lbs. Piece of cake. I put the socket on the starter bolt then stuck a long extention through the radiator hole and vola' off/on it goes..... ...Dell

I think when I did that with an 8N, that I once owned, I had to grind the bolt head down to get the plate on flat. I had tried it with both sides of the plate.
