That's an unbelievable price. My father was a foreman at the Dowden, Mfg. Company where I grew up in Praire City, Iowa. In fact I have some pictures of the old foundry at Dowden's that was destroyed by a tornado in the 50's. I boxed those foot feeds for shipping when I was 16 years old. I'm now 57!

Check the Smith's 8N website, look at Parts for sale. He's got nice reproductions for sale, I'm thinking about getting one myself.

Originals are getting harder to find, and looking at e-bay, moe expensive by the minute....

If you change your mind and want a reproduction, I know of two different sources. I'm not affiliated with them and you can email me for info.
