I've been watchin this board for a couple years. Great site. Thanks for all the info. I'm looking at purchasing a King Cutter scoop to use on my 8N. Local Fleem Farm has them for $200. I've seen listed a 24" and a 30" scoop. Does anyone foresee any problems using the 30" scoop. I measured it and it looks like it will fit.

Just bought a 30" King Kutter a few weeks ago. I figure it has already paid for itself. Dont buy the 24...too small. The 30 inch is small enough, but with gravel in it all you want to carry. I have used mine for moving dirt, gravel, rock, as a carry all and find it very handy. You can place fenceposts sideways, and carry other items in the scoop with it tilted slightly up to prevent losing them. It has been staying on the tractor most of the time lately. No it is not a substitute for a large tractor and loader, but I don't have a larger tractor. My main objective for buying it was to move gravel from a creek to my road. I figure with what they get for a load, I have paid for the tractor and scoop.....just takes me longer (a lot longer)

Hello Phred: A 30inch dirt scoop works great on a 8n.It will cut into the hard clay soils good.I suppose the King Cutter will scoop both foward and backward. You will do most of your hard cutting in foward but you might want to pickup also.Have fun....R.M. In AL.

I don't think they have been made for around ten years. Good luck on finding one.

Larry

Hi Larry, That sure looks like it would be a handy thing to have if you don't have a FEL. Don't you remember the old Mother In-Law seats in cars. Having a dump on it sure would be handy. Sure hope you can spend a fiew days. Have a room for you. All of May and first ten days of June I am mostly gone fishing.

I have a 2N using both 30" finishing mower and brush hog. Does a great job. Keep them sharp...

I use a KK 30" on my 8N. Works fine. Wouldn't care for anything smaller. Makes a great carryall for fencing and such too. Steve 8N 169302
