Ran fine two weeks ago. Now it starts fine but just doesn't have any guts. Runs smooth at idle with an occational putt, as it warms up it misses a little more frequently. When you put a load on the engine it boggs down and coughs and sputters and will die if the clutch isn't engaged. The govener seems to be working ok. Put on new air and gas filter, new plugs, cap and rotor with no improvement. What now? The grass is growing even as we speak!!!! Thanks to anyone that can HELP.

The new coil did the trick. I also bought a set of points for a rainy day project. Thank you for the good information.

Had the same problems with my 9. Put in a new coil and runs great.
