Does anyone know if a 9N generator can be easily adapted to fit an 8N. Thanks for any help!

Rick..... .....you could if you were in timbuktu outback and your life depended upon your finding the ark before the camel train came from Kartouum and the bad guys were hot on your trail. (grin)

Otherwize, besides the obvious physical size difference, the 9N generator has less 6 volt power output 11.5 amps. The 8N has 20 amps output and a square voltage regulator on the backside of the dash panel. The 2N/9N has a round can cut-off relay. The 9N generator output is regulated by the "3rd brush" adjustment on the backside of the generator. The 9N generator has 1 wire output and the 8N generator has 3 wires.

My advice, its really not worth the hassle..... ...Dell
