Have been looking for a good 600/800 series with a 5-speed to give me the slower 1st gear over rough, steep ground. What I have found has been high priced and pretty well worn-out. Does anyone know where I can locate a Sherman step-down in good condition? My 8n is a good one, and if it can be geared down will work just fine. Thanks in advance.

Might want to check at the smith's website - he has an excellent selection of used parts.

To find a step-down may be like pulling dragon's teeth, and more rare, but some parts emporium may have one. Also advertise on this fine site classified ads to the left.
