Early 8N sat for a week or so, after start up I had a hard time getting it in gear, after a good push it engaged; however, when depressed the clutch would not disengage. Linkage is okay. I think it might be frozen to the flywheel. Any suggestions? It's difficult going around in circles all the time!!
Thanks Pete in Southern Indiana.

Hi Pete,

Well, some of the readers have evidently had success with home remedies to your stuck clutch, but, most agree that it will be time to split the tractor and check things out.

Take a look through the archives-there are lots of posts about various methods to free it up (sorry, I can't remember them off the top of my head right now or I would help you further). Some have had some success with the methods, others have had to split the tractor to correct it. I recommend always blocking your clutch down when not in use to help prevent the problem in the future.
