Thanks for the fun and memories and laughs over the last year and a half. I am basically tired of fooling around my 8N (which no matter how much time and money I spend on it) never fails to let me down and die. (simply junk FM distributor design etc) Sold it this morning and man do I feel better! (wow!) Going to get a Powermaster series as soon as I get everything else sorted out. And going to buy a larger jet boat with the money I will save from having to pay for this forum each month.

In any case, thanks for the support and education.
I have learned that when you overcommit yourself to others, you develop a sense of wanting more or expecting a certain kind of respect and defense when bad things occur. I realize that it is not your place to care, worry about, nor pity my situation in the least. It would be nice to get some support from those who have benefitted for so long for free, but who really cares in the end.
Your attitudes and self-righteousness reveal so much more in the end then I could have ever expected. Thanks! ;-)

I don't need your money - now. But, it is kinda ironic then when I needed some support etc for the board, I got mostly negative & abusive comments. Really makes a man want to keep spending money on others. Thanks for taking and taking and taking. Really makes people feel appreciated and moved.

I guess I cannot expect more from you fellas, then is there in the first place. ;-)
For the good ones, Claus, Dell, Zane, heybusdriver, Mark H. and Dave Smith -- thanks so much for your unyielding support and encouragement. The rest of these greedy & overweight fools could learn a lesson or two about respect & class from you guys. Oh well,
time moves us all forward.

Thanks again.
Andy

Sorry for your troubles Andy. But from what I've learded the last year and a half from you is:
Someone says one negative thing to you or makes a negative comment you fly of the #@%@#^&%$&* handle. And talk about abusive comments, like calling the kettle black. Reminds Me of My 3yr old son whine whine. I'm still here after one or two bashings from you, and others. I take it in stride on go on. You act like you are the only one with money problems. Have you thought of some of our N-brothers trying to make it on unemployment or nothing much at all. So chin up,pay those back taxes, stuggle to get back close to where you were, forgive us for being overweight, greedy, drunken, broke, crack smokin, cocaine snortin idiots. Oh and don't go away mad just go away.

Too bad. Oh, well....When I was a sophomore in high school, I was 1st chair tuba player. I thought I teach the band a lesson for the way I thought I was being abused...no respect and admiration for all my sterling qualities and ability. I told the band director that if things didn't start going my way, I'd just quit! He took a glass of water, stuck his finger in it, then removed it. He asked me if I saw the hole where his finger had been. I said said,"no." he said," that's just like the hole you'll leave when you're no longer in the band." Well, the band played on. Never missed a beat, to coin a phrase. The only one who lost out was me. Nobody is indispensible.

Andy is stressed out (and I would be too) but despite what you may personally think of him, the general hostility of these posts is not conducive of civil discourse or exchange of information which is what this great N-Board is about.

Andys generosity of offering of free picture posting on his business computers was a "freebie" and those that used his largesse should step up and at least thank him, not flame him..... ...respectfully, Dell

And Kim would appreciate it, if you feel the need to vent, do it by e-mail..... ..thank you, Dell

Well said, Dell! I have used Andy's FREE site since August last year. It was GREAT while it lasted. I thank Andy for this service.

I haven't kept up with all of the prior disagreement in the past, but it seems to me that the responses to Andy's request for monetary support were not symathetic or constructive.

I know we won't always agree on things, but at least we should get along!

My $.02 worth,
Danny

Andy said..."I have learned that when you overcommit yourself to others, you develop a sense of wanting more or expecting a certain kind of respect and defense when bad things occur."
The way I was raised is that you did not get repect by "wanting" it, or "expecting" it, you EARN it.

Andy,
Sorry to see you leave the family. I have never used Tractor Forum. Although I have visited it from time to time. To be honest, if I ever had needed too, I sure would of. Maybe you should of charged a subscription fee, at least to cover you costs. Or if you where hoping to someday make it into a profitable business (absolutley nothing wrong with that), been upfront it was a commercial venture. No one I am aware of asked, begged, or goaded you into setting up your website. As far as I know, you did it out of the kindness of your heart.

I am also sorry you have such a bitter taste in your mouth over such a traditionally reliable and simplistic machine. Maybe you just got ahold of a bad egg. We all have had our frustrations with these old tractors. Especially us new guys (my 2N purchase 1st anniversary is in 2 weeks).

To be perfectly frank, I saw a few of the disputes you were involved in, although I never participated in any, I am not so sure you didn't bring at least a part of it upon yourself.

You seem to be a good guy. Good luck on your future ventures.

Sincerely,
Johnny

PS: Watch out for what those new tractor salesmen say. They speak with forked tongue.

Where are you going Andy?
Will the Powermaster run trouble free? Will the guys on the other Ford board be more generous?
Will they be kinder? Less childish?
Will you have to invent a new name? Will you come here to have a peek sometimes?
And wonder why you couldn't get along?

I defended you Andy when there was that big bruhaha between Dave#1 and Tyler MD
vs you and Dell and others. And though I agreed with your right to pull Dave#1's pics off your site,
I thought you would have shown much more class for suffering all the foolishness and doing nothing about it.
You lost a lot of credibility for that act. Maybe more for the way you let him back on.
But that is a sleeping dog now.

I have no pictures. But I have gleaned much from other's pictures.
Pictures you were kind enough to host.
Isn't it funny; that those who give the most here recieve the most abuse.
Look at Dell. How he helps us every day and yet he is flamed so often for the way he goes about it.
You too. You spent your time and money hosting the pictures.
Yet were ridiculed, flamed and slandered in spite of it.

I've many times wondered about your hostility though.
You've used sharp words several times when they weren't necessary.
It seemed you saw the slight or the cut or the offense when none was
ever intended.
Made me wonder how you could get along with a woman or a boss or a client.
Made me wonder how truely alone you are in your life.
Made me feel bad for you. For the Seer knows aloneness.
But he also knows how much of it is his own fault.

I wish you well Andy Hammond LA. And I thank you. But I wonder.

Where have you been Andy?
That you need to burn your bridges? Like the ones you're burning here?

Seer

How can you say such a thing Andy? Shame on you.

Read the text below. It is from the moderator's rules for the YTMAG website.

"These message boards are moderated only to the extent that we wish to promote a harmonious exchange of information. At no time will foul language, personal attacks, flames, chain-letters or advertising be allowed."

Maybe all of us, you especially Andy, need to read and adhere to these rules, especially the part about personal attacks.

Andy,

I have been around almost since day one and have kept out of the forays. I feel bad that you think the members of the Board do not live up to your expectations and standards. I find they are representative of the institution called life and as such we can choose to deal with them, accept or reject thoughts and opinions, prosper from the good, learn what not to do from the poor, or run.

The choice is in each of us. That is the beauty of this wonderful country. It is summed up in what I call the "Kenny Rogers Principle":

Know when to hold them, know when to fold them, know when to walk away and know when to run.

Best of luck in all your endeavors.

JU

Andy,

I read all the posts, sorry for all the trouble you are having. These are tough economic times, lots of people being laid off etc... My question is how much did it cost to operate tractor forum??? I was just curious... Any how, $3500 in back taxes is not too bad, and you should be able to over come that shortly. Is there any legal action you can take against that old Accountant???? Good luck, and by the way, I have not meet a man yet who has not regreted selling his 8N... Keith
