William Christopher Penney was born to us on Sunday. Our first child. They said my life would never be the same...they were right!

until I next have time to tap on a keyboard.

You always have interesting stuff to say, so I was expecting some new fangled engine for an N! ha!

Congratulations!!!! Kids just kinda lay there for a few months, trying to figure out what the heck happened, I guess. But it gets better...I like the "belly airplane rides" I used to give my kids. They're too big now.

I know with the attention to detail you have on your mechanics, you'll make a great dad! It's definitely an OJT thing, though.

From my experience, I'd say that if you have any questions about your sons health, be assertive with the docs.

Good luck, and we'll look forward to the baby/N pictures!

Dave (50 8N) Nelson

Sounds like the guys have established some good guide lines for you. William Christopher now and Bad Penny when he gets ticketed on the motorcycle and tears the clutch out of the "N" in the same day. (grin) Congratulations! L8R----Fred OH

Congratulations! No wonder you did not answer my question about it back on Veterans day, you were way too busy having a baby. Ditto the best wishes posted previously. Now go take care of William and Mother.

It goes by fast. You are now in the club. I always remember before I was a parent how the parents alwas looked at each other that "knowing" way, and how the parents would alays congregate at parties. I now know why. It's a miracle.

Congadulations,
Steve

PS. the best thing I ever bought was a kids backpack. It's a frame style pack, with security straps so the kid can't fall out. Yard work, walks, working on the tractor, both my kids would just jabber in my ear while we worked together. Plus it gave momma a break, which she needs.

Congratulations:

Sometimes you don't appreciate you kids like you should. And Sometimes they won't act like you want them to. Do you best to make them your friend. My son is 26 and has a child of his own. It really tuggs at you heart when they say : I understand more now why you did what you did when I was younger..And I'm trying to be like you with mine now.

Congratulations, Nolan! I'll second the comments made by others here to enjoy him as much as you can. They grow up so fast you won't believe it when it's done. I spent a lot of time coaching little league sports and doing Scouting with my two, but now that they are grown and gone, I wish I had spent even more time with them.

Best wishes..... ..Ed

Congratulations!!!! You might not know it yet but this is your chance to buy another n!!! I baby sit my two boys everyday(2 and 3years),they are very challenging at times but you'll soon realize that the only way to survive is to laugh..... a lot.I figure I have about ten years to buy 2 more n's(theirs) restore them, and drive to the local fairground (about 6 miles) and put them in the tractor show.

Congratulations Nolan! As others have said, spend all the time with your son that you possibly can. They grow up so amazingly fast! My oldest got engaged last weekend, my middle child is a senior in college, and my youngest is a high school senior and will leave home next fall for college. I can't believe it all happened in the blink of an eye. That boy is gonna try your patience at times, but he'll also make you proud. Best to you and your family!

Regards,
Darryl

Wow, that's two new babies on the N-board in a week! First timers, both. I also was born in mid November and the first child of my parents. Took me until I was married to realize that mid November is almost exactly 9 months after Valentine's Day ;)

I hope you enjoy your son as much as I do mine. And if your "N" is like mine it will wait for you two to get a little older and play with it together.

Yes your life will change, but only for the better. Kids are the best. Play with him more than your time allows, it only strengthens the bond. It is nice to have another friend and not just a son. Many congratulations Carl

Congratulations!!!

He will grow up faster than you realize.
BE SURE to spend the time to "play" with him as he grows up. It will forge a bond that will give you much enjoyment. NOTHING is as important as that.

Regards,
Larry

A bit early, but something to remember...
I dont know who named the "terrible two's" ... They were missing the BEST times. Just wait 18 months and you will see. I remember when my 2 year old daughter was in the garage with me. I rolled the creeper from under a car to see her up past her wrists in my oil drain pan. Sure impressed the momma!
Its not just a job... Its an adventure!
I made sure one of the first words was Carburetor.
She is now (one of three daughters)my Racing Buddie. Congratulations!!
