Norman, I can't find the ad anywhere, evidentally it sold. Scott Deppen in Halifax PA. has a 1950 dearborn combine for sale with a ford industrial motor on it. Maybe you could buy just the motor from him.717-896-3414. Jim Cobb is from Barton VT. And I live in Ia. I just called Gary at ankeny tractor, he said he doesn't have any right now but he's looking. e-mail bro880@aol.com He said if it was Norman from New Mexico he talked to you a week or so ago. Did you ever find out what year it was for sure? Or you could try Colfax tractor salvage at1-800-284-3001. Sorry I can't be more help to you, John

John, Jim Cobb called today. I was still at the shop. I called him back but he was gone. I talked to Gary about a block. I have bought all the other parts for this tractor from him. This tractor, sr# 50875, according to Wendell's Notebook is a 1949. Wish sombody could come up with a good block. Thanks, John for all your help.

Norman, that 50 ford industrial motor in that combine should be the same as yours. Garrys a pretty good guy, I've done alot of bussiness with him. Even sold him some stuff he needed. I've got 2-52 motors, ones stuck with a bad cam and the other is a basket case. But I don't really want to get rid of them because we rebuild fords and you never know when your going to need one. I'd try that colfax number I gave you, They have a good supply of ford stuff. I'll keep my eyes open and if I find one I'll get ahold of you. John
