Again, thanks to all who gave their input and thoughts regarding 3 point scoop and dumps. I went ahead and picked up the King Kutter 30" unit for my dad as a birthday and father's day gift.

With the wet Minnesota spring, he tried it out yesterday and now he's doing wheelies and handstands of joy. However, in his last email, I think he is learning that there are limits. He said that he used the scoop & dump to move some rocks. He had some that wouldn't fit into the scoop. Also, he wished it would lift higher. You know parents, give them an inch and they want a yard.

Larry, where can I get a 3-pt scoop. I don't need one as big as yours.

Clyde-

I got ours at Fleet Farm. A typical farm and home store. Cost was $189 + tax for the 30" model. There was a 24" unit for a little less. Hope this helps.

If I did, he'd comment that the tractor's lift musn't be working properly because the lift won't go up when the box is full of rocks.

I've got one about that big that I had made out of a scrapped FEL bucket. Problem is I need a hydraulic top link so I can alter the angle easier (for dumping, etc). One of these days....
