I've spent the last 8 years in Japan and Malaysia and forgot a lot about running an old tractor. But now my 9N is running strong again and I want to attach my Woods RM59. How do I remove the 1-1/8" to 1-3/8" overrunning clutch that I put on 10 years ago to connect a bush hog? There is a removable grease fitting and 180 degrees away there is a 3/8" set screw. Is there a key pin to punch out? Simple question but I don't want to do something dumb. Thanks for the help.

P. Mike,

Is the Woods RM59 some sort of a rotary cutter (bush hog, finish mower, etc.)? If it is, why do you want to take the ORC off to use the Woods?

Excuse my ignorance!
Danny

You got it. Take out the grease zerk and the plug across from it. Turn the clutch until the holes line up with the pin inside then push the pin out. It should push out real easy.

I have the very same finish mower on my Jubilee and see no reason to remove the orc and you may be asking for trouble if you do. I would leave it on.

Later,Terry

My advice would be leave on the orc. I think mine saved my life once. ( no kidding) I took the orc off mine to replace the rear shaft seal and the roll pin was broke in 3 pieces. I think the previous owner might have hit a stump or sumpthin. It was a real bugger to get out. A 4 pound drilling hammer and a punch and alot of cursing got it out though. I say don't go through the trouble. It might save you also. Chrisr # 280729
