I was using a boom pole to move some cedar logs and noticed that when I had the lift all the way up with the load, the lift would not go down when I lowered it. I had the lift in the down pos. and went and let the log down with the come-a-long I was using to balance the log the lift let down when the weight was let off. I tried several times moving the position control up and down withno luck letting down with a load hooked up. Can anyone help me here Thanks Robert

By the way I just rebuilt the Hyd. pump and Cylinder and I used the naa piston.

If Zane says plant oats on the barn roof go borrow a ladder.

There is a reason for those decals that come with the set that say not to pull from above the axle center line.

Your mileage may vary

Not trying to be a smartie but you should not be trying to move logs with a boom pole to begin with. That is a very dangerous thing to do. A log should be towed as close to the back of the tractor as possible to prevent the tractor rearing up in the front and possibly overturning. The boom pole is too far back to be lifting more than a couple of hundred pounds and when the log bounces or hangs it is putting tremendous loads on the hydraulics.

The control valve is sticking. This is caused from overloading and possibly either or a scored control valve spool and bushing and or a weak return spring in the control valve.

Just a guess , that long lever that goes from the top of the lift cover down into the sump came out of that little hole it sets in ( uneven heavy weight could cause this ) 8N ? , sound like your gonna have to pop the top and have a look see .
