After running great for an hour or so my 52 8N dies. I seems to be electrical. No sputter or anything just like turning the key off. Distributer and all wiring seem to be in good condition. It always starts back up after a couple of days. I replaced the condenser. What next??

Paul, All the posts below are correct. Do this to help you find the cause.
1. Next time you run the tractor and it quits be prepared to check the following
2. When it quits - pull a spark plug and see it you have sparkies to the plugs. 3. IF NOT, it is electrical. If you have sparkies then you should suspect fuel (plugged up fuel filters - check all three)
4. If electrical - first thing is put a volt meter on the top terminal of the coil to see if you have voltage to the coil. If not suspect bad ignition switch or loose connection somewhere.
5. If you have correct voltage to the coil, then suspect "overheated" coil or possible intermittant short inside the dist.

My guess is "overheated" coil that has shorted out.

Let us know, Jim

Possible symptoms of a bad coil or ignition switch.

mine did the same, I reached under and moved some wires on the key switch, then tried it and it took right off, loose wire, sounds like yours could be to, next time its running walk around and move every wire that has a plug in or post its wired to to see if you can get it to die or sputter, I have had this happen on cycles also but it was wires that plugged together that were just a little to loose, squezzed them with pliers lightly, no more problem. also you might try running a jumper from the battery to the hot side of the coil by passing the wiring after it stalls,we did this all the time in the 50's when some one lost the keys .you didn't say if it turned over after it stalled.

Sounds like a coil melt down to me. That would be my next trial. The timing sounds right for a coil.
