I just bought a '48 8N with a side mounted sickle bar cutter/mower, but I'm about to pull it off as it's no good for my environ, and I wanna use some other 3-pt/pto implements.

What's it worth in a crate? Should I leave it on to show it running?? I have the book for it too.

Hi Jeff,
My tractor has part of the mount assembly for a dearborn mower. I'd love to have the rest. What's it worth to you? Good shape?

80 miles North of sunny Seattle. Sounds like Tennessee wins logistically. If he doesnt bite e-mail me please.

Thanks,

Bill in Orono (from this board) has a Dearborne
sickle mower that's missing the mounting plates.
It needs some work but I'll bet he'd sell it to you. He's in MN here.
If you are interested email me and I'll put the 2 of you together.
That is if he doesn't respond here first.

What's the model #? Is it belt driven or does it have a pitman arm? Where are you located?

It's got two v-belts off the PTO to a driveshaft. Angle adjust runs off one of the 3-pt arms, 0-80 degrees. Seems amazing that it actually works!!!!

I'm in austin, TX, but I can crate it up and take it as far as Dallas or Houston to deliver or ship it.
