I need to construct and build a front blade for my 8n. I do have a striped down blade and need pictures to make the undercarriage and lifting apparatus. Thanks

Some one last fall had constructed and posted pics of a really clean installation of a Meyers hydro turn plow on their machine but I can't remember who it was. You would also need 12V for that.

Follow the link below to some pictures of a snow plow I built last fall.
Feel free to email me for more info.
It's fun building stuff for your tractor.
Been thinking I might like to build a road grader for my 2N next. I don't need a road grader but I sure would like to build one.
Good luck

Here's a scan of an ad brochure for the Arps Universal Frame. A lot different from the Dearborn version, and allowed you to have a belly grader blade and front dozer blade on at the same time.

I have the Blackhawk frame as shown for my snowplow setup. But, without the grader blade. It is a blackhawk snowplow by Arps, Corp.

Thanks Ed.
I'd never seen the grader before.
Tell you what I'd like to build:
Get another front axle and wheels, radius rods, etc from an N
and install it on a frame that makes your tractor about 8+? ft. longer. You drive the front wheels of your own tractor onto it. Hook the back end of the grader frame onto the lift arms. CLAMP the front wheels from your tractor into pivoting rests that would steer the new front axle. You'd be driving uphill all the time but the weight of the front end of your tractor would give you some pretty good ground engagement.
The blade would be fixed to the grader frame. You'd adjust the height with your lifting arms. You could grade a crown in the road by adjusting the leveling crank?? 2 pins and unclamp the wheels and drive back off.
I've got it in my head but don't know if it makes any sense when I try to describe it.

I've seen a unit like yours for a Cub but they used the same blade for both front and underneath.
Just switch it back and forth.

Here is a parts explosion of the Dearborn, model 19-1 Universal Frame, to which you could attach a snow plow or dozer blade.
