Posted this on the Implement board too, need help. Gotta free 7' sickle bar mower out of a friend's swamp, not bad shape, but no I.D. or paint of any kind left on it. 3-point attachment, no caster, pto drives a big pulley, belt to the right (standing behind), this drives a smaller counter-ballanced pulley which runs a 1' connecting arm to the cutting bar. Spring-loaded breakaway arm up to the right axle. Curved main frame, kinda like a newer Ford but not as tall. Big coil spring on the rear, stretches left-right, looks like it helps lift the bar when the frame is lifted.

Fella I got this from can't remember what is was, but he used it on his 9N a few decades ago, swears it was the right one for a Ford way back when. Pretty sure it isn't a Ford or a New Holland, might be a Dearborn or a Ferguson. Only number I can find anywhere on it is a diamond shape with a "D" in it, then 5MO-1309. Does ANYBODY have a clue? Are there any distinctive features I can look for?

Sounds like the Dearborn mower I've had for years. Works good but the thing is a bear to install. I'll take a picture of mine on the weekend. it still has the model numberplate so maybe this will help identifying yours.
