I didnt tell the better half that when she kicked me for buying that other tractor,,, no just kidding , went to an auction here the other day and picked up a 1940 9n {9n 21676}. for parts,, I also have a question on the serial # it seems to be stamped twice ,, seems like maybe 2 different size #'s is this weird, never saw it before?,, its almost complete so I am really tossing around rebuilding and making it work, but I think too many of the "important" parts were taken off, so I am faced with the dillemam of stripping and putting some of the parts on my 40, and saving the rest ..... I already can use alot of them,,, the rest maybe become another mark and seel them on ebay,,,,, ..actually I got pulled out of a jam by one of the parts mark had on,,, then he ended up needing it after,, so ,,,,, I hate these kinds of decisions,,,,,
sorry for rambling,, pat

I remember that part!! The lift rod and yoke! Need any JD 400 parts? Got lots of them on Ebay. You can't realy go wrong with a parts tractor if the price is right. Getting rid of the big parts is hard to do but the dump will take them for a fee. Need any trumpets, Casings and Front Axles?? Got a few of them laying around still. Mark H.

yea kinda figured that would be the problem with the big parts ,but I have lots of other "junk" in one of my barns so I guess I will just add to it... I know every once in a while I get the hair brain idea of "cleanin up" and well you know what happens within 6 months that part is needed,,, I have in the past bought lots of the parts on ebay or elsewhere that are now on this tractor,, oh well, winter is not a good auction time around here and of course that is when ya need the parts,,,,, so now i have even a spare rod and yoke see ya mark,,, I am gonna try to sell some of tyhe extras I think,,, give it a try anyway
