I was mowing with my 48 8N with a 5'bushhog. my tractor started overheating.I added water to the radiaator and went back to mowing. An hour later it was overheating again. The engine seemed like it has started missing, i thought it had a fouled a sparkplug. pulled and cleaned them they were a littled covered w/carbon but looked good. cleaned out the gas glass. started it, it was still missing, when I added more water after it spit out the top, the engine seemed like it started to bogg down when the water was added. please help, i need to finish mowing. redd

If your timing is off it will bog down and overheat as well.

mine used to do that ,how old is your radiator? I put a new one on mine this year, guess what my problem was solved no more overheating, you might try mowing in a higher gear as a temp fix.

Maybe all that water is getting the ignition system wet?

maybe try this? Check the radiator for good air flow, it may be full of hay seeds?
