War shortage changes were done up until around serial# 9N120000, after that it had the electrical system again, it had a long front axle pivot pin that came out to the hole in the grille and used the early style set screw to hold it in, an oil filter return line into block right below filter like early ones, a short bracket mounted at the generator bolt hole to support the front choke rod, a 2 lever choke shaft in carb., a plug in starter button hole, a cover over the solenoid and starter holes, no ammeter, a short plug wire conduit, a fan belt idler bracket w/ pulley, when you find a mag and drive unit do not take it apart below the cap unless you are familliar with it so it doesn't get out of time, Dearborn 16-13 to 16-24 combines made in 1949 and 1950 had the same mag drive, the mag was a newer number but looks the same and the idler pulley will need alot of modifications because a combine did not have a front axle support in the way, the rear steel wheels on a 1943 had 28" center discs.

Hi Scott,I have a 2N with the axle set up like you described.Do you know where I might find a picture or dimension's on this pin?Maybe I could get a machine shop to make a couple?Someone has a homemade pin made from a peice of pipe in it now and it doesn't look safe.Any information I would appreciate.:^)Thank you,Jay 2NSC

Jay, it will be hard to measure in the tractor and I don't know of any picture or exact dimensions, it almost comes out to the hole in the grille.
