I requested and very promptly received plans for a low cost generator, I promised to let the sender know when I received them, and offered to scan and e-mail them back if he would like to store them. Then I crashed and restored this #$@^%$# 'puter and I lost your name and address Please drop me a line so that I can properly thank you.

Ron,

Don't you hate those computer/hard drive crashes. I'm lucky not to have that happen to me yet. At least here at home. At work we purchased a slew of computers years ago and had a bad batch of hard drives in them. I'll bet we've replaced almost every drive in those computers. We are on a network so everything is saved to the network drives. Not much on our personal hard drives.

Here at home, I try to back up my hard drive every week. I know it's time consuming but I hate the thought of loosing many digital pics. I just back up my user files/folders and settings. Burn 'em on some CDs. Might even be as easy as to put another drive in the computer and copy files to it every now and then.

But anyway, sorry to hear of your misfortune.
