I read about checking the hydralic action and leaking problems by removing the inspection plate. I have intermittent problems with my 8N and thought I would remove the plate and inspect for problems that I have read about here. When I loosened the bolts it starting leaking out fluid. Would that be caused by condensation adding water to the unit or just over full?? The stick shows full. Thanks.

If your on level ground no problem, just, a bit to much fluid , if it looks milky change the fluid, you will need to remove all 3 drain plugs starting with the plug under the rear end , It takes 5 gallons so get ready to catch a lot of old oil, that old shifter boot is the most common place for water to enter the system, you might check the archives at the top of this page for the problems you are having or get back to this page and tell us the intermittent problems your having .
