The old Illinois Central Railroad had at one time, a locomotive rebuild program at there big shop in Paducah, Kentucky. They would take a GM locomotive designated as a GP-7 for "General Purpose" and rebuild and upgrade it, and call it a GP-8. They also did the same thing with other locomotives and just upped the number designation when they finished it. Maybe this ol boy that owns it, worked for the old IC Railroad, and he rebuilt the old girl, so now it's a 10N. ???
That's my thoughts, and I'm stickin with em.

You've heard of hybrids. If it's part 9n,2n,and 8n, it could be a 19n.

This is the one Ford came out with in 2000. Seems they are very common....features include:

*Factory installed botched 12V upgrade. Some have resisters, some don't some have 12V coils, some don't.

*Multifaceted Paint Job depending on the build date. Some use Ruby Red and Beige, some use Cinnimon Red and Dark grey. Sometimes when the on-hand 9N rear hubs ar used they paint those to similate the local Ferris wheel.

*Chrome....lot's of extra power available there.

*new improved rubber fuel line with in-line filter. Acts as fusable link in case engine gets really hot....provides automatic shut-off!

Just a few of the standar features on the 10N...anybody know the others?

Take Care
Steve
