Made the show Sunday before the rain, finally got to meet the 8N guru Marvin Bauman and admire his handiwork close up. Let me tell you, this guy is good; he raises the bar so high you'll need oxygen. His collection of 8N's stole the show in my opinion.

Also, he's a heck of a nice guy. Spent all the time you wanted talking and answering questions, did demo's of "Four-Trans" (loved that part when he wraps a tape measure around the front wheel to prove it really IS moving), fired up the V8 tractors (no mufflers; that made heads snap around), and discussing the finer points of 8N restoration. I learned more in 15 minutes of intellegent conversation with this gentleman than I had in the last year.

He had snappy Ford Tractor flags for sale too, had to get one of those. He had a complete and correct tool kit on display, nice little rubber restoration goodies for sale, heck, the guy had pop and peanuts for visitors! A genuine pleasure to meet him.

Hope Will from Sandusky can get those pics of Marvin's switch-plow posted. THAT was cool...

Planning on it! Unfortunately, I can't bring a tractor. I'm pulling my 5th wheel.

Spent all day Saturday with the family there.
You are correct per how high the bar has been raised. Mr. Baumann's dispaly looks like it is right off an research and development showroom floor. I joined the local club that sponsored the event. In speaking with another member, he reminded me that next year is the big 100 birthday for Ford tractors, and hoped to make them the featured tractor. Maybe a good time for a little Midwest BBQ?

Ford is scheduled(not hope)to be the featured tractor at the Southeast Michigan Antique Tractor and Engine Assoc., Inc. show next year. Our show is the 3rd week-end in July, always.

Pretty neat plow, huh? Was there Friday and Saturday. Sent some pictures to Tyman and hope he will post them.

Did you see them crank up that P51 Mustang engine?

Was talking to another fellow N Board member. Maybe next year we need to get together for a steak fry or hot dog roast or something at the show at a given time. Would be a good chance for those of us that hang out here to do that. What do you think?

Yeah man. Let's do the Midwest BBQ thang (sorry Zane...)

No I missed the P-51 engine, but saw that monsterous 3-cyl diesel on the trailer. You didn't so much hear it as feel the pounding it made through the ground.

Hope Tyman can get those pics up.
