could be a TO 30 or even an earlier 20. TO meaning "Tractor Overseas" 30 is the approx hp. Fergusons were the result of Harry going out on his own and starting preoduction of these things in England right after the divorce from Henry Ford Tractor division. There were two possible engine types on these in the USA. Harry Ferguson wanted the Continental Engine Co of Detroit, to supply the engines but the first ones were supplied by another engine manufacturer...name slips me. Can't rember if the Continentals were overhead valve engines...but I think they were. Ferguson tractors out sold the Fords in the USA. Ferguson was smart enough to invest and design many innovative implements for his TO's or TE's (Tractor England). There were some subtle improvements of the Ferguson over the Fords and the local markets picked up on that and they became very popular. Something of interest: Ferguson was producing 4WD tractors in England abut 1951. He used Willy Jeep axles on those. These were 30 years ahead of time for production run 4WD tractors. Next in line were the Elenco's on the 100 Series Fords beginning about 1957/ give or take. Price...depending on many variables it is hard to predict. As one noted contributor to this site often says: "Your Mileage May Vary" good luck. 9N'er
