Went to the local farm store to buy a bush hog brand bush hog. The sales man talked me into a john deere bush hog. It has a slip clutch and a laminated tailwheel with a one year warranty. The slip clutch requires some routine maintenance. Could save on some none routine maintenance. The bush hog works great on the old N and plows right through some head high brush. No problem! Which will last longer? 8N? John Deere Bush Hog? Us?

What size bush hog ? I'm thinking about getting one next season, and I can't decided between a 5 foot or 6 foot. I'm afraid that the old 8N wouldn't pull a 6 foot.

It is a light duty 5 foot. A 6 foot may be to heavy for the 8n.
