Someone mentioned a sandblaster that worked with a pressure washer from Northern Tool.I could not find it so I was hoping someone would tell me more about their use of it and also how to look it up.The wife is interested in cleaning up some lawn furniture before painting it so I jumped at the opprotunity to help her lol..... Thanks..R.M. In AL.

I wore sun glasses when I did it but next time I will wear a full face sheild do to some of the sand bouncing back at you. It wasn't dusty in fact I stayed dryer then when I use just water. I did get it in my hair and on my cloths but no dust or clouds of sand to breath in. You could use a dust mask but don't think it is needed because water is mixed with the sand when it comes out the end. Mark H.

It worked great for me and it ataches to the pistol grip on the washer with a long hose to stick into the sand. It will strip the paint no problem off metal using your washer to supply the water and this part suppling the sand. It costs 49.99 and is part # 2260-B970 at www.northerntool.com Mark H.

Mark, I looked at that sandblaster in the Northern catalog (Item 2260-B9700 for who wanted the number) How does it connect to the gun is it threaded? Will it fit just a Star brand. It seems every manufacturer of pressure washers uses diffrent size and kinds of fittings.I have a Cam spray.

On the end of the pistol grip there are threads that I belive are a standard for the osha (some standard rating) reguirements for the pressure that hold the rest of the pipe sticking out from it. It has a rubber o-ring seal and threaded slip coupler that threads over it. I know it just went on mine and maybe over 3,000 psi they change the treaded part to a different type of fitting?? I know with my airless sprayer I had to get 3,000 psi rated hose to extend the distance I could spray with. Might just be like a propane bottle different makes but same threads. Mark H.

It says 3,000 max but no min pressure. It dose not need much to work because the tip is big and it don't blast the parts like when I have the smaller tip on!! I think a small one would work OK with it, the sand is what is doing the work not the water pressure. Mark H.

Does the water/sand blast method get the sand everywhere like the sand blast method? i.e. Sand in the places you don't want sand? TIA

It dose get sand where you spray it but dose not float in the air. You would not want it to get into a part you would not want to be sand blasted, so I would protect them. Mark H.
