I was checking into the prince valve replacement for my control valve. Big Mike and Jack suggested that a new valve would do the job. Thanks!

As you look at the picture, the top two hoses go to the bucket for power "up" and "down" motion. The center hose is the inlet from the pump. The bottom hose goes to the "arms" that raise and lower the bucket.

Would the prince pump valve work in this application? Many thanks.

I also check with used parts suppliers. Just need to get this machine going pronto! Thanks for any help.

Woops - sorry about my earlier assumption. Mine has power down and I just didn't look at yours close enough. Mike is right though - it will still work with the re-plumbing. And with out down pressure you sure don't need the float feature as Zane has already stated. (Look a little closer next time before opening mouth and inserting foot Jack)

Northern also has a valve that has two spools that does not have the float feature. It is the same price that you have posted for that one. It is in another place in the catalogue. Where the pumps are loacated and a page or two over. Don't know about the on line catalogue but it is there somewhere too I think.

You would have to do it like "big mike" says though and pipe a shunt hose from one of the work ports around to the inlet line with a T from the tank or reservoir.

Sorry I did not realise you had single acting cylinders for the main rams. This valve will still work all you need to do is plumb the valve like the one you have but add a line from the port that would supply down pressure back to the tank..... .hope this makes sense..if not email me and i will try to explain it to you....A valve from a forklift would be the best choice as they are set up the same as you have..... ...1 spool is single acting and the other is double acting

What you need is a one-way valve for your loader and a two-way valve for your bucket. You wouldn't need the float feature as you don't have down pressure. I like to have a valve with the option of power beyond, so I can install a valve down stream and have remote hydraulics. My remote is used for splitting logs with my log splitter.
