Check out my links to photo pages of my recent trip up to Alturas, Ca (NE CA), famous for the Modoc Indian War (1870s). 57 indians vs. the US Calvary. I found this rental yard in Alturas where the owner (Chuck) rents out his N tractors (& ferguson). Not being a serious mechanic, I'm sure I missed a lot, but still enjoyed visiting w/Chuck for an hour or so. He has an everett transmission (and everett) trencher. The trencher is vertical, uses a piston and digging buckets, and goes to 4' deep and creeps along. He also has a sherman and Howard gearing for a (howard) tiller, which currenlty has a broken shaft, but will be repaired this winter. I've never seen a sherman up front before, and I didn't realize it doesn't extend the tractor length. He also has a cement mixer like a board member has (Jim UT?). LIke I mentioned in an earlier post, I told him that on ebay a rear work light brought several hunderd. He said he has a whole box of them. Not sure if they're original, or what, but it might be worth a call. Check out his parts yard and see the two Ns in parts sitting there. He said he could build one from them. He may have some parts he'd part with. If your'e interested, respond below, and I'll email you back. I've been getting strange emails and potential virus'. FYI: I have no financial gain from this. click on the link below and also open the address below for the second page. Link
