I put new rings on my hydraulic piston, checking for proper ring gap, etc. Now I have weak power in raising implements. When I was buying the rings for this job someone suggested instead, I have the piston machined with a new groove and put in a modern rubber O ring. 1) has anyone heard of this and is it a good idea? Is there any details anyone might have on this conversion?
2) Any ideas on my problem?

I just replaced my piston with the naa. I got it at my local use to be ford dealer. It was about $36.00. It would be a lot easier to use the naa than to convert the old one.good luck...

If you go with the new o-ring type. Be sure to grind an angle on the cylinder. Or you will have problems getting the piston in the cylinder.
