Just bought a 9N and it won't stay in first gear or low side. What do I need to replace?? Will I need to split the tractor??

Thanks,

Rick

I have a Ferguson TEA 20 similar to 9N that would not stay in first gear I took off the top trans cover and found the shift fork broken. Also the rails that guide the shifter lever ball end were very worn. To get the fork changed I had to take off the hyd cover under the seat then remove the plate that locks in the shift rails it was easier than it sounds but if you are going to do it a manual would be very handy. Shift fork was 80.00 used.

regards

rod
