What is the diameter of an 8n clutch? I was wondering if I could switch to a later style 10" clutch w 15 splines and be able to use a later style sherman combo transmission. What do you think? Allen (;^)

I was looking at that one too. The gear may be different that goes into the transmission not sure, also check the total length too. The clutch Disk is 9 inch and you could not put a 10 inch on the flywheel and still put put the presure plate on. Mark H.

Thanks Mark, I thought It was 9" but couldn't find it in the manuals I have. I was also thinking a guy could change the input shaft out of a junk sherman and make that one work. I sure like hogging a lot better with the one I put in my 8n. I was just thinking out loud and trying to figure a way to use it in my other tractor. Allen(;^)
