What are you using for a thinner for the Tisco brand of paint? E_mailed the company but got no response. The can says some number 400 something but no name or brand of thinner. Checked archives with no luck. Thanks, Pokey Do not want get this far into it and get CURDS!!

TISCO has its own thinner. You may have the have your retailer order you some; Thinner: TPS 46 QT $ 8.60 Thinner TPS 46 GAL $ 13.44 Thinner TPS 46 5GAL $ 58.65 Hardner: TP 12 $ 7.53

Good luck on your paint job.

Pokey,
Call 1-800-338-0145 and ask for their nearest dealer to your home town.
Good luck.

I use VM&P Naphtha. I just finished painting my second 8N in the last 4 months and they both turned out great. I used TISCO med gray on both. Be sure to use the tisco hardener.

Tisco offers the thinner - TPS46-qt (quart) or TPS46-gal (gallon) and the hardner TP12 - all available through a TISCO dealer...

Thanks!

PS - a naptha based thinner will also work.
