How long is your (hydraulic) dipstick?

When I have my hydraulic level to the full line on the dipstick, I can't remove the inspection cover without oil pouring out on the floor. I can also drain more than 5 gallons (No, it's not milky white). This leads me to believe my dipstick is too short. I goofed and didn't measure my dipstick, but if some of you could measure your hydraulic dip stick and report it here, that would be great. Thanks.

The part that is into the cavity is 6 3/4" and the Full mark is 5 1/2". Also, Full is when the level of the fluid is at the bottom of the lower bolt hole in the inspection cover.
