The shifter on my 2n turns about 360 degrees. It
works OK after it is pointing the right way. Any ideas to correct this problem. Thanks.

There is a pin under the rubber boot that needs to be replaced. The pin goes in the slotted area.

You have to remove the trans cover in order to get the shifter out to replace the pin. Check out the trans cover slot where the pin rides. I'll bet it's also gouged out and should be filled with weld and then filed for a straight slot. May as well change the shifter boot while you're at it. My $.02
