8N lift travel

I think I have a lift problem. my 3 point will only lift about 22 inches from the ground with or with out load. a farmer by me told me the 3 point should lift all the way up which would be about 4ft or more . fluid is ok just changed it.

No way are you going to get those lower arms up 48 inches! Your upper lift arms are not that high. Around 22-28 inches or so. Mark H.

Alan,
First of all, make sure the tractor hydraulics are in draft control, not position control. The lever arm under the seat should be down (I think that's right).
Next look at the quandrant contol arm. The arm and half moon quandrant are held on by 4 bolts. These are also for adjustment. Loosen the 4 bolts, move the whole quadrant forward or back, re-tighten the bolts then operate. If not satified, try it again. You may have to manually push the lift arms down. Some people do this with an implement on, others don't. Although it's a pain, re-tighten the bolts after each adjustment, otherwise when you operate the lift the quadrant will move and your setting will be lost.
