there are several manufactures of "orbital" batteries. the cells are round. good for off-road, and rough service. exide makes one, and interstate does too. they cost more than a regular battery.lots of CCA

Ray, You may not have much of a choice on "Cold Cranking Amps" as it is usually determined by the battery size, which doesn't give you much choice.
Manufacture? Maybe someone else could help with that. I would look for a battery that is labled "Tractor Battery" from a reputable manufacture. The reason is that without any suspention on tractors they take a lot of hard knocks. There is a differance in the plate thickness in some batteries. This allows them to withstand the shock better than a car battery.
