Just got back from a ride with my neighbor(pictured above) in the above pictured conveyance. Yes....for those of you who are familiar with me, I'm getting more Amish all the time!

Down with cars! Animal power is a much more pleasant and economical way to travel! There is one disadvantage however: Noxious fumes.

You see, we had stopped in the middle of crossing a creek at a ford, so that the mules could cool off and rest.....and one mule decided to take a pi55! If you've never seen a mule bleed the lizard..... it is reminiscent of Niagara Falls! .....and makes a good deal of noise!

However, the noise was not sufficient to camoflauge the sound of the dozen or so farts that the mule was blowing as she tinkled! (several of which made her tail go up).

And that is how one is exposed to noxious fumes when riding in back of mules!

...for the song, "Georgia Mules and Country Boys(are fading fast away)". Some folks might argue that smelling mule methane is preferable to inhaling diesel fumes and sulfur dioxide from catalytic converters.
