I'm glad to join everyone here. I'm a Ford fan from way back and I'm currently restoring a 66 Mustang fastback and a 69 Mach I. So naturally when I went shopping for a tractor to take care of my new 7 acre plot, I wanted a Ford. I wanted a good working tractor and didn't have a lot of money. What I found was what is represented as being a 1947 9N. I need to do some further digging but if the year is correct I guess it's really a 2N. Anyway, I got it for $1,700 bucks, it runs great and everything works. And yes, it is painted like an 8N. I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions in the future. I'll get some pictures up in a few days.

Thanks,
Tim

I am just about finished with my 65 Mustang GT convertible restoration. Fortunately, I started with a much better frame than you did. I replaced the inside frame rales on both sides and both rear quarter panels, otherwise, the frame and body were in great shape. Original floors with no rust through. I stripped it all the way down and had it sandblased down to bare metal. The whole car inside and out. Built it all the way back. New engine, transmission, disc brakes, PS, Factory air, console, pony interior, etc. Epoxy primer followed by many coats of primer/blocking, 4 coats of basecoat, 6 coats of clearcoat. I have been working on it when I had time for several years. I just need to finish up the electrical wiring and put in the interior to be finished. I did all mechanical and electrical. A good friend who owns a body shop did the paint and body work. Unbelievable amount of work, but hang it there. When you get it finished, you will be glad you did it. BTW, my son owns a similarily restored 70 Mach 1.

Nice! My first real fast car was a 1967 Shelby GT 500 with Dual Quads and only 30,000 original miles, it sure was fun to drive!!! Never lost a race with it. Someday I will get me another one when I am rich! I should have kept it! Mark

Congrats on the tractor. Nice Mustangs too. I plan to look for a '66 FB in the future.
